Artistic Research on Plant Interfaces

A lecture on Human Plant Interface by Florian Weil on the SYNTHETIC METAMORPHOSIS : New perspectives on science, art, dance & sound performance symposium in Berlin.

Florian Weil will give us an insight look into his research and artistic practice. He will share the process of his current research that has been focusing on the possible interactive capabilities of plants. The concentration will lay on how he is seeing and understanding the opportunities that plants deliver for Media Artists and Interaction Designers. The possible interactions between the disciplines of botanical Biology and Human Computer Interaction but also the interactions between Art and Science do play a critical role in his research. The research results of these interactions are an overview of artworks and projects, which affect and brigde the domain of environmental design, sound design, Human Computer Interaction as well as art.
